VAA Credit Card Companion Flight Qualification ?

hi guys
I have just noticed that this is showing up on my FC statement ? not sure why it is showing now ?
I have the white and black CC cant remember when I got the white (ages ago and never hardly used it until now) and just got the black in October but have spent a fair bit through it so far

The companion voucher gets credited to your FC account as soon as you reach the spend target on your Amex. The PE upgrade vouchers though won't be credited until the anniversary of your account. You'll have probably read somewhere on here that the Companion voucher is all but useless because of the higher fare buckets required to use it. However there is a thread now that shows the rules have changed (though not for UC Companion use) so the lower fare buckets apply in EC and an extra fare bucket in PE.

its the upgrade vouchers I think im going to use as I now have enough miles for 3xPE and 2xEC so hopefully I will get 5xPE for next September/October
