30% bonus on Amex MR points transfers to VS miles (USA only)

I've just received an email from another blog mentioning that currently Amex is running a 30% bonus on Membership Rewards transfers to VS Flying Club miles until the end of May.

In other words: 1,000 Amex MR points = 1,300 VS FC miles.

So if you've got some MR points stocked up, now might be a good time to transfer them.

Ah, I was getting excited until I checked my account and unless it's a targeted promotion, it looks like it might be US only.

That's a pity as there hasn't been any of these for ages

I'm in the US, so it could well be US only. If someone can verify this, I'll update the subject line so that non-US Amexers don't get their hopes up!

If you try and log-in on that page to try and redeem you get the following error:

We're sorry, but your Card is not currently enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Please call 1-800-AXP-EARN (297-3276) or the number on the back of your Card for further assistance.

My AmEx card is enrolled with UK MR so this offer must be only for US MR members....we just get lame statement credit offers for shops that no-one has ever heard of!!
