Hi,

I'll be travelling back from MCO in September in PE with my wife and infant (18 months)

Is it true the arm rests don't go up between the two passengers? Wondering if it would be weird to try and make a "bed" in the footwell?

Also, i know you can take a buggy to the door of the plane, at the end of the flight, where do you get this buggy again? At the carousel or at the door again?

Thanks

In PE none of the armrests lift up as they have the little table on them and the main table stored in them.

As for the 'bed' the cabin crew will tell you not to. It's simply not safe in case of turbulence during the flight.

I flew PE with my daughter and 9 month old granddaughter last year. Most families with infants under two had been allocated bulkhead seats, which gave additional space. I believe that my daughter rang in advance to request these seats, although we did not know whether we had been allocated them until we arrived at the airport.

18 months too big for the bassinet I'm afraid. We flew with an 18 month at the bulkhead seats and likewise the fixed arm rests were a problem, felt it was far better on the way back (in economy) where we could raise them.

Also we find it better to put the buggy in a bag and check it into the hold baggage, less chance of damage and the wee one will be fine walking through MCO.

Here's my trip report but it looks like you'll have the infant on your knee for sleeping.

might be a bit late but would you not be better doing seat plus (not sure if this is just an economy thing though) ?

I don't think Seat Plus is a thing anymore, it was to end first half of this year.

We have UC on the outbound, but was using the econ-PE upgrades from the credit card for the return.

Thanks everyone for words of wisdom, will just have to persevere with it!
