...and no, I will not post photos or videos! :-P

We had decided we would return to LAS for a few days and try and combine it with a trip to see dome friends in Dallas. I checked a couple of days ago for reward availability in UC but of course there was nothing.

However, today I thought I'd casually take a look and I found there was plenty of G's available September to November, so I checked with my colleagues who would look after my business for me, and this narrowed down my choices to November. Still plenty of availability although time between outbound and return was longer than we wanted. We just want 4 nights in Vegas and 4 nights in Dallas, but flights were 11 to 14 days apart so I had an idea to check SFO return, and lo and behold, there was G availability so I got on the dog and bone to FC and put G's on hold for outbound LGW-LAS on 3rd November and return SFO-LHR on 16th November, so now we can have our 4 nights in Vegas, 4 nights in Dallas and 5 nights in San Francisco.

After checking a few other things and I've just confirmed and paid for the itinerary, 200,000 miles + £939 taxes etc, including credit card fee. Plus I got 6A&K in the 747 outbound, and 5&6A on the 787 inbound.

This does kind of put our plans for next year askew though as we planned to combine SFO and YVR for 2 weeks in May, but I'm sure I can come up with another trip.

Can't wait, and now the planning starts... I've got some free nights with Hotels.com to use up too.

Well Done Bretty :)

As the dust has not even settled on your recent trip, some might say you have started on the slippery slope :-P

For 2017 - how about combining Seattle and yvr?

That's not a bad idea, I understand there's a possibility that VS will start a route to Seattle. I spent just a couple of days there before touring the Indian reservations in the area a few years ago and recall its a lovely city with plenty of culture. And rain!

Thanks everyone, I knew that I'd have to start searching quickly since we plan to travel in only a few months, and that we'd need to be flexible. Also that LAS G's can be like rocking horse pooh, so I'd started to look at flying in/out of ATL since we can hop from there to DAL & LAS. I was surprised the see the G availability on the LAS route, there was a lot. And then to see the availability for SFO too.

I'm a happy fella :)

Missed this post! Sounds like a great trip.

Have you both got your cowboy stetsons, spurs and chaps for Dallas? ;-)

Yeah, my Stetson is purple and glittery but I'm not really into the leather scene ;-) :-P ;-)
