Virgin Credit Card - Online payments

Hi all,

Unless I'm going blind - it appears to be no longer possible to make a payment against the MBNA issued Virgin Atlantic credit cards.

Did I miss something?

Hmmm, the option seems to have disappeared for me as well! How strange. Must be something down/wrong with the site...

Halifax did a similar thing a few years back - they stopped clearing payments and therefore the option to make a payment by card went away.

Not a big issue, but I'm in a (fortunate ) position of being able to put several thousands through my card this month, making mid month payments to the card a necessity since the value of transactions is far greater than my limit. I'll just have to do it by bank transfer.

Could be site maintenance? Sure they will be ready to take our money again tomorrow morning! Either way, you enjoy racking up those flying club miles!

I pay my VS MBNA Amex bill via on line banking from my bank.

Doing it via MBNA effectually 'pulls' the payment from your bank but on-line banking 'pushes' it and it clears sooner.

Well, the option is back again this morning, so perhaps you were right with the maintenance thing!
