Hi, over the years I have read so many posts regarding the Virgin Atlantic's IT system problems which can cause grief. I have always felt lucky I have never actually experienced any issues, until now.........
Back in early June I booked two reward flights to the west coast for March 2017. Our outbound was in PE (as that was all that was available at the time) and returning UC.
Then nearly five weeks ago two G's appeared for our Los Angles flight
I phoned the Flying Club and sorted out the upgrade. 15k miles each plus the diffferent in taxes. I was told this would be processsed shortly but the system was working a bit slow. Our requested seats were confirmed by email immediately and the MMB page has been altered to reflect UC now each way.
Over the past five weeks I have telephoned the FC several times to say the upgrade has still not been processed ie no miles deduction or money taken for the taxes. Of course, I now do not have an updated e-ticket
I am at the point where I've decided I am not going to chase them anymore. If this is never processed by the Revenue department but the UC flights are sorted as per MMB, do you think there will be an issue at airport checkin? Anyone else experienced a similar problem.
