....but soon off to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Yosemite, Alcatraz, Santa Monica and Los Angeles via Manchester with Virgin. Our trips in the past three years (cruises, city breaks in Europe, family in Canada) have largely precluded flying with VS. Oh, except for a trip to Florida where the Thomas Cook PE into Miami was just too affordable to ignore (it was a pretty good flight as well).

Any ay back on to a 747, PE row 19 A and C. For me there is nothing like it when a 747 spools up the engines on the runway. That's when the holiday starts.Having had a bit of a health blip late last year, I know found myself retired, a grandpa and a substantial list of holidays booked.

And with VS now offering flights ex MAN to Boston another trip is in the offing - we have two PE upgrade vouchers just waiting for the right moment.
