Morning lovely V-flyers..

Here I am again....wonderful welcome at check in. The team are always superb and took great care of me. Security was a breeze, you can tell the main summer holidays are behind us now!

Just settling into the Escape lounge with a sausage sandwich, coffee and apple juice...a VS representative is actually based in the lounge currently to assist VS passengers. She is a member of the Manchester CC team. She is welcoming VS flyers by name and providing a very personalised service like the LHR concierge desk.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Happy Friday. :-D

Have a good flight Jon and enjoy NYC in your non-work time, as we will in a few weeks.

Did you use the train to the airport from Wakefield rather than driving? I drove over Woodhead a few weeks ago en route to Holyhead, thus passing the airport, nose to tail HGVs as usual with me as the meat in the sandwich, not a nice feeling!

Jon

Sorry for being late to the party here.

Good to know the MAN Team is on top form and the addition of a dedicated member in the Lounge is a great step forward.

Hope you had a great flight and I look forward to your intrepid TR in due course

Thanks so much. I did use the train, boarded at Dewsbury and it was about 75mins door to door. Really seamless and my preferred way now of getting to & from MAN. Driving and parking are just a pain and I know what you mean about that journey 'over the top'

I would half guess that the "dedicated team member" in the Escape Lounge may be a cabin crew member who is pregnant. Virgin ground crew when they advise them they are pregnant & the check-in / gate handling at Manchester is all outsourced to Swissport. Not a great deal they can find for pregnant crew to do on the ground at Manchester - other than paperwork in the base room / helping passengers in the lounge.
