I've been watching the Fox News coverage for past couple of hours and yes it was a Virgin America plane waiting at a gate.

The scenes now show hundreds of folk just sitting around on the tarmac or outside the terminal buildings Everything seems calm but as the airport is on shut down.

It must be pretty chaotic as far a airline movement is concerned in south Florida. This is bound to affect the schedules and cause delays from Tampa, Orlando & Miami.
