Main VS 787 Thread

G-VMAP is now about 30mins out from LHR on delivery flight, one more dreamliner to come this year in about 3 weeks.

She's down next one in a couple of weeks by the looks of it.

I think that the DXB route is set to take one of the 787s soon. In my searches I've come across a couple of the JFK routes using them as well.

DXB goes from Winter season 30 October 2016.

787 Routes in Winter should be:
HKG
DXB
DEL
PVG
JNB
SFO (mostly both but 340-6 pops up occasionally)
MIA (5/6)
LAX (both flights)

G-VFAN is currently at 41,000ft over the Atlantic heading for LHR. Due in at about 11.40am.

G-VFAN l be leave is the last new dreamliner until April next year.

The 787 has been taken off DXB until
April. Any idea where it's being redeployed and if there's a chance it may be put back on before November (when I'd booked to fly on it )

Looks like the next 789 A/C (G-VWOO) is currently heading from CHS on her delivery flight to VS. Due into LHR around 20:30.

Did VS finalise their 789 options and if so do we have any delivery dates for them?

Not sure sorry, not heard anything about any options for more 789's.

There are only 2 more 789 deliveries left now for VS, which I believe are due at the end of Feb and the end of March.

Another new B789, G-VBEL is on her delivery flight and is just about to land at LHR.

Noticed though her name has been changed. It was going to be ‘Showgirl’ however she is now named ‘Lady Freedom’

Presumably any new 787s delivered will have the engine problem already corrected?

I believe so yes.


The last of the B789's that VS ordered (G-VNYL) is due for delivery April 1st as well apparently.

Indeed! I'll be a little sad to stop reading my 787 production spreadsheet haha.
