A couple of quick questions about the ex-Air Berlin aircraft currently servicing the LGW-ANU route.

1.) What chance we will be on a refurbed plane mid May 2019? I gather the refurbs have only just begun?

2.) I'm 6ft 6, so this is important! With most UC layouts the window seats are longer in bed-mode with the middle seats being a fair bit shorter. Is this the case with the A330-200 UC seating?

3.) Is there a bar? ...or, will there be when they have been refurbed?

Thanks in advance!

1) No-one can answer that one unfortunately. The first A332 (G-VMNK) is currently in China getting refitted and has been there 4 weeks now. Unlikely VS will send another one until she returns back to service.

2) There should be no difference as the A332 Upper Class seat isn't in the herringbone config as with all other A//C and all the A332 J seats face forward.

The refitted 3 cabin A332 seat map have been added to the VS website now here. Not sure if online bookings have been updated with the new 3 cabin seat maps yet though sorry?

3) There is no bar on the A332 and I believe there isn't going to be one even after the refits unfortunately. The new seat maps also don't show a bar anywhere.

Thanks James,

We will keep our fingers crossed!

The online booking bit has now updated with the new seat maps. Wow I hadnt realised how small the UC cabin is, no wonder prices are so high and so many flights sold out or just a few seats left. It shows a large square block at the back with a wine-glass symbol on it...looks like a small version of the bar. Maybe a self-service drinks thing?

That's just the VS indicator for a Galley. A bar is clearly marked in bright purple, with accompanying stools. See the other seat maps for an example. You can't miss it.

Thanks all.

MoJoJo - Your post gives us hope! If that is the case then its good news! The seat selection thing shows all three classes.
