Hi all, hope you are all well.

I am off on my honeymoon next year and would have liked to have used the V lounge at Gatwick North.

Unfortunately the travel agent has stated that it is fully booked but has put us on a waiting list should there be any cancellations which was very kind of him.

I was wondering if anyone else has not been able to book but had any cancellations or changed flights so you were able to use it?

I have never used the lounge so it would be lovely to use it for our honeymoon.

Kind regards,

Ross.

Sorry, just to be clear, do you mean the Virgin Holidays V:Room lounge or the VS Clubhouse?

In that case then, you should be able to pay to enter on the day of travel even if you cannot pre-book.

According the the info on the V Hols website, it's £20 if you pre-book or £22 walk-up on the day of travel for the LGW V:Room.

I presume you have booked your honeymoon via V Hols?

Thank you, I had no idea you could do that. I thought as it was fully booked now, there would be no availability for us to use it on the day.

I booked my holiday through virgin holidays correct. When I go to try and book the v lounge, there is no link to book it. It says at the bottom of the page if there is no option to book it, it means there is no availability.

Thanks again,

Ross.

For some certainty you might want to look at booking one of the other North Terminal Lounges.

https://www.gatwickairport.com/at-the-a ... t-lounges/

There are usually on line offers and the ocasional groupon offer as well.

I'll check that too, thanks. Ideally we would like to use the V Lounge but will keep that in mind, thank you.

The VRoom is a million miles better than the No.1 and other similar lounges. The food in particular is far superior. I’d keep ringing Virgin Holidays and get put on their waiting list. We were in a similar situation a couple of years ago and we quite quickly got an Email offering us a place. I’m sure they have more than enough room in there for Virgin Holidays guests wanting access.
I believe it’s for Virgin Holidays guests though, so not sure where you stand if you booked through an independent travel agent.

Thank you for that.

Virgin Holidays have stated that they have put us on a waiting list. But have not heard anything yet. We booked it in september.

I booked it as a package holiday with Virgin, not an independent company so hopefully luck will come our way.

Many thanks for your help,

Regards,

Ross.

Having been in both, the Clubhouse many times, I’d pay the extra and try and book the Clubhouse. It’s SOOOOO much better and would be a great start to your honeymoon.

Thank you for the info,

I have been thinking that, I shall see what is available and what our Virgin travel agent can do.

Thanks

Last email I got from Virgin Travel agent:

I can confirm I am unable to find any availability for the V Room Lounge for your dates. You can try to enter the lounge on the day but if the lounge is full pre booked they limit the amount of passengers entering relative to the amount of seating space. August is a very busy month for departures so the lounge does become full very quickly.

You are 100% still on the waiting list so if anyone cancels or amends and more availability comes up we will get in contact with you.
