Looking for some help on how flying club points work.

If I booked through virgin holidays with 3 traveling what points would I get? Do you get points for the holiday and the flights? And would this be per passenger?

All 3 travelled in UC return and I am a red member

Thanks :)

Your Virgin Holidays booked flights will earn exactly the same numbers of miles as flight booked directly with VS. You mentioned Upper Class, so those will more than likely be booked as Z fares (so will earn 200% miles/100 tier points each way). See this page for more details. You can check your fare code by viewing your flight booking using the VS app.

If you booked your Virgin Holidays online, over the phone or in-store directly with Virgin Holidays, you will also earn 1 mile per £1 spent on the total holiday package - just as long as you quoted them a Flying Club number at the time of booking. See this page for more details. Only 1 person will learn this though.

If you booked via another travel agent you won't earn the direct 1 mile per £1 spent. The flights will still learn the standard mileage / tier points though.

That's what I thought so looks like they have given the wrong miles.

I assume that I will get 200% miles as a red member on a z fare and would I get the miles for all 3 people or just myself?

Only 1 person will get the miles for making the booking with Virgin Holidays - which ever Flying Club number you quoted at the time of booking usually the lead booking name.

I'm not 100% when those miles will actually credit to your Flying Club account though sorry?

You won't get the miles or tier points from the actual flights taken until around 3-4 days after your flight lands. As long as you entered everyone's Flying Club number into the VS flight booking which you can do via the VS website or VS app, everyone who takes the flight will earn those miles separately.

If you’re asking will you personally earn three sets of miles for three people’s flights, no.

Each passenger will earn miles individually, as long as they’re all registered with FC and their FC numbers are attached to the booking.

If you want the other passengers’ miles as well they can gift them to you, but there’s a hefty fee for doing so.
