Hi

Can anyone advise, I’m trying to take advantage of the flexible change policy Virgin currently have in place to move some flights booked with miles.

Does the flight your moving too have to have mileage availability to move under this scheme?

Thanks

I would imagine the flight you are looking to move to does have to have reward [miles] seat availability. If it didn't the flexible change policy is open to misuse, as you could book a reward seat, then change it to a flight on which reward seats would not normally be available.

The only times I have known Flying Club rules to go out of the window are (1) at the airport, on the day of travel & (2) in the event of severe disruption.

I was in Florida in the run-up to hurricane Irma and wanted to get out ahead of the hurricane. I was on a G [UC reward] ticket and there was zero availability, but there was one UC revenue seat available. A call to Swansea saw the revenue seat changed to a G fare and I got out or Orlando early. I assume they took the view that getting me home early would be one less person to have to re-route / accommodate after Irma had passed.

Thanks for the response, I guessed that must be the case but wanted to check as I was sure I had seen a post saying otherwise somewhere.

For some reason theres no reward availability loaded past 22nd April at the minute which seems odd and I need 24th April.
