Reward availability to PVG

Hi all.

I’m not seeing any UC reward availability to Shanghai for the whole year. Any idea what’s up with the route?

I got some a while ago in the reward sale. I did notice at the time there was nothing for about the first 4 months or so from date of booking

In my experience, PVG is similar to HKG in the sense that it's a premium heavy route. With having one flight per day, there often isn't reward availability.

If you can get Y or W availability, book that and then keep watching for seats to open up. That can happen right up to departure (so when you're at the airport, make sure you check at check-in and the lounge).

Have tried booking Premium seat for September/October/December with miles today and the system has changed. I ended up telephoning Flying Club who looked for flights for me only to find that there was nothing other than Economy. You used to be able to view a couple of weeks or a month's worth of flights but now you have to search day by day by day etc. Talk about booking prevention. I can understand Virgin are desperate for Revenue and therefore aren't offering many miles seats but not to have anything other than economy for months on end is annoying to say the least. Anyone else found this?
