Hi all

Sorry of this has been asked before. I have about 200000 virgin miles, I want to take my other half to seattle next year.

It's not enough for an outright upper class ticket, but would I have enough to buy an economy ticket and upgrade to upper class? Flight looks like its in peak time for using points if that matters.

I'd opt for Premium + upgrade with points, it's better usually value than Economy. Plus you earn points on the underlying cash fare further reducing the actual cost of the upgrade.

Also, consider buying another chunk of points if there are two reward seats available.

Compare the options of buying more points for two straight reward flights vs premium + upgrade.

If you spend £10k on the VS Reward+ credit card, you can earn a companion voucher which could be used to do the reward flight with the number of points you have right now. So that's an option too.
