Earning miles and tier points

I’ve booked four flights recently, all under my account.

A reward seat plus voucher for myself in upper class, a reward seat plus voucher for a companion in upper class, and two full fares in premium economy.

I don’t believe you earn virgin points on reward seats but what about the seats for my companions? I booked them under my account but I have a nagging feeling that the points will be lost.

Also will I end points for all the flights or just for my own ticket?

I paid for everything on my VA rewards+ card, so hopefully I should have some extra points there.

Yes only virgin points on your own cash tickets, you’ll earn tier points on your own reward tickets, but anything in someone else’s name can only go to them

A nice hack when booking group trips/holidays... book through Virgin Holidays as you earn points on the spend (like the credit card) and you earn 20 tier points for every £500 spent, up to a maximum of 400 tier points in a single trip.
