VS74 - 21st July 2024

We visited the aviation viewing park at Manchester yesterday, we watched VS74 land 30 mins early from its scheduled 11am arrival. It waited nearly one hour before they found it a stand, not good after a long overnight flight.

It’s because there aren’t enough stands at T2. There never has been and it’s even worse now that many (if not all) of the old T2 stands are out of use due to the ongoing T2 renovations.

Last time I flew from / to MAN on the ATL flight we got a remote stand & bus in both directions

It happened to me on VS109 too. It’s only going to get worse when more airlines move from T1 in October. The ground experience is so inconsistent with VS from MAN they have swapped check in zone’s with TUI so VS are now in a building site. MAN have apparently pulled the plug on building the C gates for T2 for the time being due to cost. I would’ve liked to see VS more involved with the transformation programme they could have built a private security channel or drive in check in.
