Miles upgrade question PE to Upper

Hope you can help.

I have 3 PE one way flights from Tampa to LHR in December paid for with points. If availability comes up for Upper are the flights unravelled and we start again or do they just charge upgrade points and the difference in costs.

What happens if we get to the airport and there’s availability to upgrade to Upper? Is it the same?

For both instances, if/when Upper reward seats become avalbale, pay difference in points and "taxes".

Remember to ask at the airport as well. Just because the VS site doesn't show seats, doesn't mean it's not doable.

VS are very good at allowing points upgrades at the lasts second if there is a physical seat. Best place to do this is in the Clubhouse at LHR.
