hi all

Sorry my query is so long - but other people may find it of interest

Until 2020 I was a regular flier to the USA with Virgin Atlantic, now having resolved medical problems I have booked Orlando flights for October this year. (fully covered with health insurance)

Can people explain the changes to the information required on the forms to fill in on "manage my booking" for travel to USA - this FLY READY is new since I last flew
My Virgin Atlantic profile is already up to date with name, passport, contacts etc

On the flight booking reference states
"Mr Darth Vader you are almost FlyReady for your flight to Orlando. Continue to upload and verify your required documents along with any requirements for your upcoming trip" . then select GO TO FLY READY
it then states "Hey Darth let’s get you ready for your trip to Orlando"

1 step to Complete - "Government Forms" - but states This form is not yet available to complete. Please check back within 72 hours of your flight’s departure". What will be on this form ?

next is "Passport" - shows COMPLETED is that because all of my passport details are in my Virgin Atlantic profile ?
Do I HAVE to scan a copy of the passport page or are the passport details sufficient ? (the details are already in my profile and will be on the "passport and visa information" form

next "passport details to enter the USA" this gives the big form "PASSPORT AND VISA INFORMATION" to be filled in

many thanks for reading and hopefully I will get response from people who have filled in these forms

regards

Only 2 steps to go through now; well 3 including an ESTA.

For your passport, do you have a green boarder / tick? This bit is relatively new. Using the VS app you scan your passport using the handsets camera. This now verifies your passport. You will get the ‘DOCS OK’ on a printed boarding pass now before you get to the airport. This just saves doing the passport verification at the airport. You can do this anytime before departure now and also during OLCI when using the app.

The other step is the contact tracing step. That’s the bit that can only be done at T-72hrs before departure. You just put your email address and/or your mobile phone number and accommodation address.

Do make sure you all have valid and approved ESTA’s as well at least 72hrs before departure as this sometimes gets overlooked.

Hi Mitchja

Thanks for replying

Yes the passport section for myself and wife has green tick. I don’t know when or where the data came from to give it the tick though.
Yes we applied for and had ESTA’s granted as soon as we booked the flights.

So now I have to fill in - passport details to enter the USA" this gives the big form "PASSPORT AND VISA INFORMATION"
And also the contact tracing form 72 hours before

It’s like the bad old days where you have to fill in multiple forms containing the same data.

Hi

sorry to bother people again

On FLY READY I have filled in mine and wife's Passport and Visa information details to enter United States
we are flying LHR to MCO

I have noticed that Fly Ready also has a link for the same Passport and Visa info for the MCO-LHR return flight details - do I also have to fill this in ?

We are UK passport holders and reside in the UK
