USA ESTA price increase from May 26th

A few travel blogs including HfP and ThePointsGuy are reporting that from tomorrow (May 26th), the cost of a US ESTA is increasing from the current $14.00 per person to $21.00 per person.

The official site is https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov as other sites may charge more.

That's quite the jump, I wonder what prompted the rise.

Thanks for the heads up. It prompted me to renew mine!
