what plan was then used.
My parents were on the VS449 to JNB last night which was cancelled when in the lounge. I wonder if that plan moved to vegas?
G-VDIA ended up reop’ing the flight which finally departed LHR 22:40, 6hrs 40mins late.
The VS155 was also cancelled the previous day.

Hmmm, it does actually look like the LAS was operated in favour of the JNB.
Fittingly for the 789’s, it was an engine issue on the original VS155. Additionally, one of the service trolleys wasn’t secured for the LHR landing and ended up rolling down the aisle.

I heard a plane flying very low over me in Bexley and opened FR24 to see it was ZIG turning to land back at LHR. Seems they set up for a longer final than normal as the approach turn is usually much closer to Docklands.
It does appear that the JNB flight was a casualty of this. A very expensive couple of days for VS in terms of comp…

Probably not as much as you think as firstly not every one will apply for compensation (the percentage who do is usually pretty low) and also this will be probably still be covered by Rolls Royce as they are the ones getting the biggest financial hit in all of this with their ongoing quality and supply issues.
