A330-300 G & K row positioning

Hi all,

We generally fly UC but never in these seats and we can’t recall how the layout holds up on the A330-300 in regards to middle row, G.

Travelling as a family of 3 later this year. Seat choice restricts us from what we would normally do (3 window seats in A - first choice - or K - second choice). We could either book 3x G seats but that’s not our preference… or, 9&10K with any seat in G as we have it now.

Currently have booked 11G but how does that line up to 9&10K? I know the seat map shows it offset behind but I’m sure I’ve seen that it is not directly comparable.

I could move 1 or more seats forward in K if better!

I would be tempted to move 1 row forward into 10G if that seat is available as that seat faces 10K. Have a look at the aeroLOPA VS A333 seat map as they are the best seat maps.

11G is slightly further back. The back row of seats on the A333 always feel very isolated IMHO as I recently flew in 10A which is great if you fly solo like me but maybe not so much when travelling with family.

As indicated by the seatmap mitchja linked to, the G and K seats don't line up number wise on the A333; they're offset by 1.
1K is opposite 2G
2K is opposite 3G
etc

That would suggest in your case that 11G would be fine being across from 10K. However, I think 11G is an exception because it has a wall running down its right hand side (as you sit in it) that sort of prevents you looking directly across the aircraft to 10K. 11G is quite a private seat in my opinion.

So, Like mitchja, I think I'd also be tempted to advise moving forward to 10G as it will be opposite 9K and you will have a good view of 10K as well.

If you’re traveling as a family, 11G maybe isn’t ideal either. With that wall you're pretty isolated though, it could feel a bit too private and cut off from the rest of the group. It seems to be the smarter route to go to 10G, it's right across from 9K so you will have a better connection and more of a shared experience. The offset seats for the A330-300 allows you to feel a bit off, but 10G should balance it out better so you don’t feel too separated. Without question, more of a family friendly setup.
