Since last September I feel like every flight I have taken connects through JFK all in Upper, connecting to DL F or vice versa. I have had no issues at all using the DL One wing at JFK, and then private TSA lane, and no issues at all getting into the DL One Lounge either.

I booked a last minute get away to New York on Thursday, out in Upper and back in Premium and am VS Gold.

The agent on the door at the wing refused at first to let me use it and tried to direct me to the normal DL Sky Priority line. "Only Upper Class"....outside the doors, and I forgot to take a picture, there is a sign that says Virgin Atlantic Upper Class & Flying Club Gold.

I took him and showed him and he kind of shrugged and huffed and let me in.

Now the really werid thing....comes out of the private TSA lane, and walks around to the DL One Lounge, and the agent on the door of the lounge beckoned me in, scanned my boarding pass and I was in! I was very early so the CH was still on its PP hours, so it was very welcome from going to the A8 Sky Club for a couple of hours.

Now looking at the DL website, I shouldnt have got access into the DL One Lounge even as VS Gold flying in Premium, but according to the door of the private security channel should never have been questioned going through there! Anyone got any similar experiences since it all opened?

There is a whole missing link between VS FC Gold and Delta systems. It's the same when you try and enter DL SkyClub lounges when connecting to/from VS flights. The self-service entry scanners always fail miserably and you have to be manually processed and DL have to record your FC number into their system.

It's been like that for years unfortunately.

It's like everything if life these days - it needs feeding back to VS every time it happens. The more people that pester VS about this the better chance something will get done about it.

Flying back a day early due to a relative funeral.
Delta One at JFK, from check in to security to lounge what a breeze.
Whilst I do prefer the Virgin Lounge as order at table via QR, I do like the Delta One lounge.
The private security it’s great.
Nice short walk to the lounge (something which would be great at LHR).
On the DL3 service to LHR. So far, it’s been great
