When do CC reward vouchers get credited to your account?

Please can someone clarify for me when the CC reward voucher is credited to your FC account - is it on the anniversary of your card, or as soon as you hit the £10k spend (CC+)?

I thought it was on the anniversary as this is when the voucher hit last year, but according to Virgin Money, it is as soon as you hit the £10k.

The reason for the query is that I thought that I was missing a voucher, based on the fact that the one given to me last year was shortly after my anniversary date, and on the FC website is dated before I actually hit the £10k. When I callled they said that that voucher was triggered by the £10k spend and that the date showing on the FC website is wrong (they had a date of issue which was 2 weeks later). When looking back at my statements, if it was 2 weeks later then I had actually spent it (don't ask!)

Please can anyone shed any light on this? Cheers

Mine was a few weeks after I hit my spend target.

The one I earned in October didn’t appear for a week or so (email notification) after I breached the 10k spend. But I knew I’d earned it and was able to use it on a booking three working days after the earn date by calling up flying club.

It seems that the date showing on the FC is wrong and the one that VM gave me is correct then - still a nuisance as even if the voucher earned last year had the correct date on it still expires before I can use it. Having said that the next one should arrive fairly soon!

I wish they’d do something about the yearly spend. I could have earned three vouchers in my 365 day cycle. But obviously only get the one.

Would be nice if you could earn maybe one additional voucher by getting to a second limit. Like £10k for the first and £25k for the second. I’d got voucher within 3 months of my anniversary.

I agree, this would be a great benefit to having the card.

Technically you can get 2 vouchers by having both cards - you would lose about 15k points by spending the £20k on the free card versus the paid for one (if my maths has worked) but it is probably worth it as the voucher is worth much more, especially now.

I don't currently have both cards but I am considering it!

Or maybe allow you to earn a second voucher via the additional cardholder. I have an additional card that my wife has. If she had her own 10k spend for a voucher that would be a great benefit for the Reward+ card.

Out of interest, why doesn’t your wife apply for her own card? Me and my wife have a card each, and we use one card until we hit the voucher, then start using the other one to obtain 2 vouchers per year. We also made sure that the 2nd card anniversary is halfway through the anniversary of the first

Yeah that’s the next step. But I baulk at having to pay the annual fee twice. Could just be an additional perk.
