I'm hoping that someone may be able to help me by confirming if my understanding of the below is correct.
My wife and I have been Virgin Silver members for several years now, and I understand that to retain this status we need to reach 400 tier points before the end of the current year of our membership, which is 28 Feb 2026.
Due to some cancelled travel plans I had accepted that we would lose Silver Tier at the end of this year, but with two UC round trips planned for next year, I figured we would earn the status again before I needed to use the one benefit that I find valuable - the credit card voucher being worth 150k points as opposed to 75k.
However - the first of these two UC round trips we have planned for next year would ideally involve an outbound flight in Feb, and a return flight in March - thereby straddling the end date of our current year of Virgin Silver.
Am I correct in believing that if we were to go ahead with a return flight that straddles our renewal date, the tier points we would earn on the outbound flight would be wiped clean on the 28 Feb when we reach the cut off date without hitting the 400 tier points we need to retain status - and therefore the 100 tier points we earn on the return flight are the only points we will bank towards a future silver membership?
