I am planning a 3 week trip to the States in May 26. Plans include return flights from LHR-BNA.
We have the VA Reward+ card and have approx 140,000 points, we also have 2 x reward seat vouchers. I thought I was doing the right thing by saving them for this trip as its for a special occasion so was planning to use the points for a PE or UC upgrade. However when coming to book now, it appears that either the full flight or part of the flight is with Delta so I cant use points plus money, nor can i use a reward seat (none on this route.)
Aside from being a bit disappointed (yes this may be because of my own ignorance, but i'm not a particularly frequent flyer so its my excuse) as we had been saving the points for this reason - Is there any other way I can spend the points on this trip? For example, can i use/transfer those points elsewhere to put towards hotel bookings? Its a 3 week road trip so our hotel will change most nights.
