Hi,
I think I'm missing (and entitled to) a reward voucher based on credit card spend.
I've got the VA+ card and had it since Jan 2024.

In June 2024 I had spent enough and get the voucher, and used all ok.
I did spend more the rest of that year that would have qualified me for another one, but as you only get one per year I knew I wouldn't get one.

Then, Jan 2025, I get the email and voucher turn up about 5 days after my card renewal. Great I think, I've been given a bonus one due to my high spend last year (as hadn't spent £10k in a week!). So used that one to book a flight in Dec 25, but Virgin Money say it was spent in Oct 25, which it wasn't.

Fast forward to April 25, and I get another email telling my I had hit the spend threshold for a voucher (which I had) and I've never had the voucher.

I get to my renewal this month and think I'll get another one, based on last years spend like last Jan, but nothing and Virgin tell me I qualified for 2 and have had 2 but don't get why I've had 3 emails telling me I've qualified for 3 ?

Have raised a complaint with Virgin Money as keep being bounced between them and FC who blame each other but just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this or has a view.

If I'm incorrect then fair enough I'll suck it up, but I spent a fortune on the card last year due to a house move thinking I'd get a new voucher and if I won't, I'll be annoyed as could have used the wifes card instead !

Hey

Very similar situation has just happened with my VA Rewards Card.

In 2025 I noticed a voucher in my account in Jan which is my renewal month. It wasn’t accompanied by an email but I assumed I had just missed it and spent the voucher.

Then in October 25 I received an email saying I had earned a voucher. This voucher never arrived which I thought was odd so I contacted FC. They said it was a Virgin Money issue who said it was FC.

After going back and forth I ended up emailing the executive office. After numerous emails they eventually identified that there’s an error with their system which causes Vouchers to be issued early in some instances.

So when I received the voucher in Jan 25 I actually hadn’t qualified for it, but the system issued it based on my anniversary then when I did actually hit the spend in October the system realised it had already issued a voucher and didn’t issue another one.

I asked them to track back and it turns out the same issue had also happened in 2024 & 2023 and had resulted in me getting 2 vouchers in one year at some point.

It’s all very confusing and annoying as I thought I was in line for a voucher in 2025 and now have missed out even though technically I did get one just incredibly early and what I thought was the previous years voucher.

I found I didn’t get anywhere with normal customer service and had to argue the point with the executive office who did a full excel style download for me

Im in the same situation and getting nowhere with flying club. Should have had reward voucher in October 2025 but they are saying it was issued in June 2025 early. Had a email in October to say i had earned voucher but its not arrived. When flying club changed the scheme last year i thought my old voucher had been split in 2 but apparently not.

I have also had this issue and it is really annoying. I have recieved the correct number of vouchers based on spend but becuase they issued one early (at anniversary rather than when I hit the spend threshold) I am now struggling to spend it before it expires.

You will literally get nowhere trying to argue with either FC or Virgin Money, VM have been so incredibly patronising in trying to explain to me why I'm wrong and they are right!

If anyone does know of a resolution to this it would really be appreciated, I would love to have my voucher extended by way of compensation!

Just in case it helps anyone, I had to call Swansea this weekend and I happened to mention that there seemed to be several people who had this issue. The guy I spoke to said he knew of a few and the advice was to email [email protected] and they would look into it. If it was issued early they can extend the voucher by 6 months. No guarantees but worth a shot!

I had this issue back in Autumn and contacted Flying Club. Same as others back and forth with Flying Club and Virgin Money. At the end they insisted there was an error with their system issuing the vouchers at the incorrect time. They insisted again that I didn’t miss any voucher but extended my voucher expiry to the end of 2026.

I've now had a response to my request - they can't actually prove or disprove that my voucher was applied early, but have extended it by 3 months which is better than nothing.

Does anyone have any experience of retrospectively swapping a voucher on a booking? I used a more recent one for my Summer booking but could have used this one if it had been sorted out before hand - just wondering where I woud get to if I tried now to swap them around?

Can someone explain the relationship between Virgin Red credit card points and voucher earn? My account on Virgin Red is incredibly inaccurate in terms of earn, and I am fairly sure I am missing two vouchers from 25 in any case. I contacted member care who sent me to customer care who said FC do this- but if FC do this based on Red point earnings and those are incorrect- what's the best approach?

SO... Having e-mailed, called and being buffeted between VS FC and Virgin Red, we discovered that we have vouchers going back two years on our credit card that never appeared on our VS FC account. Dilemma now is that we booked PE out and UC back already on points, although we could have used voucher/companion to book both as well as upgraded to UC going out. Now the upgrade PE to UC is well over the 75K limit as are no longer Silver.
Question- do companion seats have a limit in points? Can we retroactively use these vouchers and get points put back in account?
If anyone else is looking for their vouchers... let me know. I have the map.

I was told a few months ago that if I retrospectively applied a voucher I wouldn't get the points back, but now that they have extended one for me I will give it a try and report back!

Just want to update that after several back and forths between Virgin Red and FC we did finally locate where our vouchers should be (under credit card on Virgin Red) and that they need to be connected with FC account to show up. What we couldn't find though were our missing vouchers- which clearly got lost between transition from old VS card to new one... but we did finally get an amazingly knowledgeable and helpful FC support who jumped right in, rebooked our flights using companion voucher, credited miles back to our account and put in a tracker for missing vouchers. He exemplified the kind of informed and efficient support we remember back in the days of Gold and are very grateful despite the effort we had to make to try to make sense of who to call and where the info was.
