Having stills not managed to get on a 339, I've got a other chance coming up in the next few days. But I can feel another swap coming since G-VTOM went tech on Saturday and diverted to Shannon (still out of action).

I saw the media event for G-VMAN a couple of weeks ago, but it still hasn't been delivered. Anyone know when it's due to arrive into the fleet, and which other A330-900s are due this year?

So with 6 A330-300’s left in the fleet at the moment does that mean by the end of this year, there will only be 2 left or will some be kept to help with the 787 refurbs ?

Thanks

I did read that all A333 were supposed to be retired by 2027, however they could keep a couple active a little longer to cover the B787 refit.

Although, only 14/17 B787 are getting the refit, and worn 7 Neo coming in during 2027, I think it won’t be too long before all A333 are gone.

I’ve heard rumours that the B789 refit may be brought forward to possibly start towards the end of this year now. I suspect the Starlink system will also be installed at the same time if that is the case.

I’ve flown on the Neo 3 times in upper and I don’t get the hype the space and bed mode on the 300 is far superior in both space and comfort , ok you may not be able to see out the window as easily but trust me the older upper is far more comfortable.

Interesting, I get where they’re going with VHUN (honey) and VAVI (something aviation-y) but can’t imagine what they have planned for VLJB. I can’t think of anything obvious.

Once we also know the names, these reg's may then make a bit more sense.

I suspect G-VLJB relates to Lady Jane Branson who died late last year

Then VS would have both G-VSRB & G-VLJB in the fleet together at the same time

A nice touch if true
