Well, I went for the sorrow-drowning option last night, and guess what? I'm still £4K out of pocket, but now I also have a stinking headache and a mouth that feels like a badger has had a cr*p in it. Never works, does it?

And Bryan - be very careful my friend; a life of exile in Hull awaits you if you persevere with your particular brand of 'black humour'...

Exile in Hull? Much preferable to exile in the South East methinks. The beer is cheaper and the rugby's better.[;)]

Come on guys look on the bright side, you've got fantastic holidays to look forward to. OK so you lost out on this deal, how many have you gained on in the past?

With all the doom and gloom at the moment and the idiot in no. 11 telling us what we already know you can't let a little thing like this get you down. You'll win another one in the future and it'll be all square again.

Remember, always look in the bright side of life........... as he wonders off whistling to himself ...

Shoot me down if necessary, but I have been watching similar threads on several Disney boards. Some of them have cracked the problem by changing one or other detail of their flight. Most have added a day to their holiday and when re-calculated, the lower price has been used. Of course, this is only what I have read and what people are saying, but idf there is an element of truth in it, it may well be worth making a phone call. One point is that you need to ring the UK number as the Indian call centre are not playing ball with this.

Katie I saw the same threads, I think the way it works though is if you book your ticket direct with VS on a Z fare you cant cancel it or make any changes. Because we are booked with VH I worked out that we could fly 3 days later and save about £1000, but we would have to fly into Kingston instead of Montego Bay. Unfortunatley we are tied into the dates I already have as we connecting flights out of the UK on the return leg. Having said that, I am Happy with the deal we got and think we got a good price for the flights originally so Im not too upset, but if I was 4K down like some of the folks on the board then I would be gutted. Last year my price dropped by £200 in total after I'd booked. This year, I watched the price for weeks and eventually, on July 6th the PE tickets dropped by £350 each so I booked and saved us £700. The tickets today are still £100 each more than I paid so I'm a happy bunny. I do feel sorry for families with children who could have save over £1000 but that's the way it goes.
