Post Script As for Vtravelled: I also think it's an ill conceived idea.

It might be a bad idea but at least theres a company out there trying to be positive and look to the future and turn things around in a positive manner rather than get sucked in to the 'where doomed' scenario.

It also shows that although some on Cabin crew sites might think we are frooty-loopy or middle aged slightly snobby peeps that v-flyer has some respect where it matters and recognition of its positive value.

My bro lives in 'Ull very pleased about it as we seldom get on [:o)]

I think it's a great idea, and it can't be any slower than this site!

Alex Bainbridge makes some interesting points on his blog. If vtravelled is to be a place for passengers to share their travel plans, then their is a limited audience for that content. However, as Dopplr has shown, that doesn't mean 'no' audience - it is a network of friends who can keep in touch with each others movements. That's a very different thing to V-Flyer, where one of our key goals is to help strangers get more out of their travel plans from their peers experience.

I look forward to seeing vtravelled go live so we can fully understand what Virgin are trying to achieve with the site.

One of the comments on Alex's blog (link in the post above), appears to be from somebody who's had some involvement with Virgin on vtravelled's creation, and even *he* thinks it's a poorly conceived idea. This does not bode well.
