From clicking the link from your FC account, your purchase can be tracked back to you and then miles can be awarded.

From personal experience, miles from Play.com take ages to appear - my last purchase took over three months.

Thanks again Tink, will keep an eye on when the miles get credited.

Must admit on a general issue, how valuable for travel, general internet and discounts V-flyer is has been to me

Oh and with my first ever UC and CH visit just 15 days away will be providing a full TR as some small way of contributing back

Thanks all [:D]

This is good news.

20 points on iWoot is great for fathers day coming up. 30 spend say is 600 points, plus the bonus 500 miles [y] 1,100 easy!

Anyone had their transactions track yet? The wording suggests it won't update till 30th June - 'Next Check due 06/30/2009'. Nice idea to show it, but it would be nice if it appeared quickly.

If it works anything like Quidco (which it looks like it does i.e. via the affiliate networks) it can take upto 4 months for your transactions to track back and be awarded your cashback (or miles in this case)

Some retailers are quicker than others.

You will also need to make sure your firewall/anti-virus software doesn't block cookies as these are used by the affiliate networks.

Quidco doesn't work via our corporate network at work due to internet restrictions.

Fantastic, that is what we like to hear.

Well now that I am home, oh boy, this could be trouble, the vast majority of the places we shop are on there, frankly I am amazed, so it's miles whore time for me [:p]

Also, just to note, the Wynn Las Vegas is in this program [:0]

Yes, I meant to show it was tracked, not paid. You can see your click history immediately. Quidco usually shows your transaction within hours, and then months later it gets paid, but at least you know it's there and don't forget about it.

just bought something on 'i want one of those' (20 miles per pound... hell yeah!)

just wouldnt let me pay with my VS Amex. kept asking for payment method. went through straight time when i used the trusty old visa.

no a major drama... but have missed out on 80 miles :(
All may not be lost. Your browser may have kept the cookies from your original link from the FC referral... so you might still get your miles. Worth keeping the date and time of your original attempt in case they are open to queries later.

I'm confused about the 500 bonus miles, well, not so much confused, annoyed at VS for not getting their facts straight.
In the T&Cs it says:
'* 500 Flying Club miles will be awarded on your 1st purchase over 25 or $50 made anytime on the Flying Club Shopping site only.'
However when you click through to actually start shopping in the Launch Offer banner advert it says
'Spend 25 on your first purchase through this site and you'll earn 500 miles'

I presume the T&Cs supercede the advert but it's a bit sloppy.

On a seperate note it seems to be working (some faster than others)! This just came up in my shopping history.

Received my purchase from iwantoneofthose.com today [y]

Love what it says on the box - 'Stuff you don't need but really, really want' [:D]

I'm sure my new solar powered phone charger will come in useful at some stage...wont it? [:w]

Nothing has tracked back yet but Quidco transactions can take a week or two sometimes so I'm not worried just yet.

I have found that sometimes it takes a week or so for anything to show up in your purchase history.

In my case (on my BA account) Apple, Swarovski and John Lewis only took a few days to appear whereas Play.com took forever to appear. In the end I had to claim for the miles from Play.com and I eventually got them credited last week (and I made the purchase in January.)

So I wouldn't worry just yet.

Await to see how the Tesco link works for posting miles-- why didn't we do this sooner, none of this trolley rage and impulse purchases

I wouldn't worry just yet, but it should show the site in the click history, so this hopefully shows it will track eventually.

Yes it did show up in the click history so hopefully that should show up like you say, im now however beating myself over the head as i ordered 3 Dean Koontz books from borders at 4-1 points when Waterstones are offering 12-1 points[i][i][i].

BTW thanks tinks for your reply from earlier![y]

cheers

Ok, I was planning to get something on iWoot. For myself, or as a fathers day present 25/50. But I can't even see anything I want, let alone need, despite their slogan [ii]

Any thoughts/inspirations on what to get?

So far I've ordered from IWOOT, ChemistDirect, The Trainline, Cucina, Victor Chandler and Interflora. Not sure what that says about my lifestyle (!) but thought I'd mention I just saw my first item appear on my Purchase Report - Interflora (in-progress). The miles haven't been added to my account yet.

And Scrooge, where did you see the Wynn Las Vegas was listed please ? I have a booking to make :)

Hey! I can earn FC miles on FlyBE, AirFrance and KLM! Which presumably includes the DL codeshare flights...!

And there's some serious mileage on Vodafone contracts...
#718677 by chumba
18 Jun 2009, 21:55
Vodafone looks very good, both our vodafone contracts are up in 2 months, normally i haggle for a deal to stay as we both like to keep my number. But with the 7500 miles bonus we are both going to port out to O2 on a 30 day sim only deal, then port back to Vodafone as new customers and keeping our numbers a month later.[y]

Kerching 7500 miles each !

Plus i do about 25-30 flybe flights a year for business so double dipping there as well (although have to use the work credit card so no AMEX points as well [n])

Does anyone understand how ebay works - it says 4miles/1, is that on what you spend or based on ebays fees for the transaction?

It is on what you spend on an item you buy on ebay minus P+P and also come things are exeempt like if you buy a car!

It's there in the T&Cs somewhere.

Drat and double drat, I was going to buy a car from a dealer who also trades on E bay. 20 grand x 4 = 80,000 miles, thought it was too good to be true!!!

I will say, having taken a look at this now, as a person that normally thinks VS is marketing over product, this is f**king fantastic, even Mrs Scrooge, a most jaded off shoppers is happy with it.
