just prefer to go direct RM, have looked at partner airlines but I have to do an internal flight once into a gateway which only flies once a day and the change over times just arn't convenient and certainly not worth doing just to earn VS miles.

But RichardMannions point, so eloquently made, was that it would give you TIER points (Not miles) which would mean you could get to/retain Gold FC status, thus entrance to the CH which your posts show you covet.

Even the Gold card or beloved CH (which everyone on here seems to covet, not just me) is not worth the 4/5 hour wait in Montreal airport, especially if you get a bad snow or ice storm and then nothing moves. I like to get a quick turn around even though sometimes my equipment doesn't get to fly with me on the same plane!
