Either Scarlet Lady or California Girl to LAX in 1994.

Although the most exciting for me as a 13 year old was getting to go on G-VXLG when it was only 2 days old back in 1998, also to LAX. Couldn't believe my eyes when we turned up at the gate and looked at a VS a/c with a name i didn't know existed! Then once onboard the captain came on the PA and said Ruby Tuesday had only been in service for 2 days. Got a flight deck visit and the Captain said it had 'Running in - please pass' written on the tail. Although haven't managed to find any photographic evidence so cant have lasted very long!

No idea what the aircraft name was but the stamp in my passport tells me the flight was on May 12th 2004 (as the Americans would say). The route was MAN-MCO. I think it was a 747-200 operated by Air Icelandic something or other but stand to be corrected.

G-VHOT to JFK in the late 90's when she was a young'un... It's crazy to think that she's been in the sky pretty much every day between then and now, and how many miles she must have flown!

On a seperate note I am currently being stalked by G-VFIZ, she's done a leg on each of my last 6 flights with VS!

I have nooo idea :D save for the fact it was from from LHR to JFK in December 1993 (on a "Jumbo Jet" :D ). Dragonbaby was a babe in arms (literally) and DL the Elder and I crossed the Atlantic on the first of our annual "jolly jaunts".
Goodness, where have the years gone??? :0 :0

Try http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk. If you can remember the exact date then you could be lucky and someone will have been in the car park at the end of the runway and noted down the details (thats how it used to be done before people got their hands on ACARS data etc).

Air Atlanta (who are an Icelandic company). :)

To show my geeky side- it is actually Air Atlanta Icelandic |:). Air Atlanta Icelandic was (is) owned by the Avion Group who actually purchased the XL Group/Sabre Holidays and made them into a mega tour operator that then went belly up.

They then formed a UK subsidary called Air Atlanta Europe. However, the 742's that were operated for a while on behalf of VS where in fact operated by Air Atlantic Icelandic. The 742's that were operated on behalf of VS, in full VS livery, were eventually sold to VS and transferred to the British register becoming aircraft such as Island Lady (and possibly Morning Glory and that one about bees). A quick search of the A.net database will provide the answers.
