Personally they would only mean anything to me if l got them myself.....

Just looked myself, :0 why would someone pay £82.75 for a pair?!

I like collecting bits like this, but only if I have got them myself. I wouldn't sell any of my sets of salt and pepper shakers, I don't see the point...

Hopefully what will replace all the dinning gear will be a redesign/improvement rather than a botched budget cut.

I have a set that a CCM kindly & warmly gave me a while ago.

When we flew out to MIA UC recently, I again asked if I could have a set & the CCM again was happy to let me have a set. Therefore I have no guilt.

I do know of a frequent contributor to this forum who was having a clear out of her kitchen & while ago, before it was re-modelled & threw a set away. :0 :0

Any suggestions of how to reprimand this well travelled V-Flyer would be welcomed. ):

I can asure you that I have made my absolute horror known to her. B)

"Stolen" my a**, these things are designed to be taken, and always have been. It's a marketing gimmick. "Pinched from Virgin Atlantic" put on the bottom, to suggest taking them to people who wouldn't normally think of doing so.
And if you still aren't convinced, I have - on more than one occasion - been asked by Cabin Crew when clearing my meal whether I'd like to keep them!
I wonder whether they even recycle the ones that are not "stolen", or whether they are just binned along with other disposable items. Wouldn't surprise me. I doubt very much, for example, whether hot towels are recycled, etc.

Well given that the sleep suits are laundered and reused the same would apply to the hot towels too.

Thats a lot of towels that would just go to waste if that were the case.

Why oh why does this thread have to appear again and remind me of the stupid thing I did v(

Yes.....I might as well admit that it was me who threw her sets away in a frenzy of clearing out a kitchen and now I learn that they are no more after March and of course my next UC trip is April :0 :0

A lesson has been sorely learnt to treasure all travel keepsakes |:)

The butter knives are not new. As I said in my earlier post I "acquired" mine some time ago - and by that I mean 2-3 years ago. It was only when you mentioned it that I went to look and found that it said stainless steal

I meant that they are now a new design, but still say "stainless steal", as you said that the old ones said it, as I had not noticed before. What I did notice is that all the cutlery has been replaced and the new butter knives say "stainless steal" on them.
