Those who moan the loudest often being on corporately bought tickets.. :w

Economy class chancers...? v(

Sorry girls, your request was cheeky but we are a decent bunch, and have no issue on which area of the plane you sit.

Photo's are important HWV is getting giddy...

And I look like Claudia Schiffer ( Mr DL however tells me that I don't.... :D ).
I'm with marshy11 on this one - rather more than forward and hasn't contributed to the v- flyer forum whatsoever....
FWIW I'm a non-corporate flyer ( as many of us here are) but travel on my own finances ( up the front) and have offered CH invites to members who have made a contribution to the site . I second Penny-L's suggestion if the "guest list " option doesn't appeal

rosiej83, the clubhouse is overrated. Cardiff airport executive lounge...now that's a lounge! :D
You wouldn't want to sit in the clubhouse drinking Lanson, having a massage whilst eating from a ala carte menu. v(
Only kidding!
Being a UC passenger paying out of my own pocket I would gladly guest you and your friend into the clubhouse. Not on the same flight I'm afraid.

Good luck in your endeavours.

PS, if your traveling with some hot young males, who would gladly take their tops of...I'd change my flight just for you/them! ):

I've been reading this thread laughing my socks off at some of the comments.

To rosiej83: to use the phrase "haters" is very strong, unfounded and I feel a bit rude. Let's be honest, your post was very forward for a first post and this has been pointed out by a few well respected members of the forum in a very polite way, and the nature of many other posts perhaps suggests your request hasn't been taken seriously. I too admire the chutzpah as Honey Lamb called it, but even if we were on the same flight I doubt I'd offer you an invite unless you had at least been a contributor on other threads for a short while, which I think is what has been echoed by other members. That doesn't make a hater, but if you think it does then you might be on the wrong forum.

Now, onto other matters, someone mentioned hot guys taking shirts off, where/when do I get to see that? ):

I for one would have gladly guested rosiej83 and her friend into the clubhouse, the original post was just a little cheeky and in return some real funny replies have been posted [Silver Fox's "ugly check" - was brilliant] - these have all been taken in good spirit :) .

I am in the LHR clubhouse next Tuesday 27th, and the HK clubhouse 4th June --- anybody who would like to be guested in, just PM me

You can look at this two ways
1- a bit of bravado and don't ask don't get
2- a bit cheeky and not what I envisaged guesting is meant to be for.

After all the food/beverage/salon consumption has to be paid for by someone, hence the requirement to be on the same flight - as it assumed the beneficiary/ies actually know the person guesting them eg work colleague, family member or friend. Internet forum and never met doesn't qualify in my opinion. With such a nice facility as the CH I am surprised VS hasn't clamped down on this (although I admit I don't know how they would).

Sorry, can't agree with that. People on this forum give unstintingly of their time and experience to help newbies like me navigate the dark arts of reward flights, miles upgrades, fare codes, etc. There are also lots of threads helping with non-flight related matters like hotels, Miami theme parks, where to go in NY, masses of advice freely and generously given.
In time, we newbies will have enough information to help others in the same way.
CH invitations are a way of saying thank you for the help. I would not dream of joining any club, society or other organisation and instantly ask for one of the rare benefits. You should not expect to benefit when you have not contributed. v(

On one occasion I was asked to give CH access to someone who had not contributed to the site and I did. The circumstances were exceptional - the requester was a long-term contributor to the site who was a member of the armed forces and travelled frequently to IAD. He was flying on the same day as me and we had arranged to meet up in the CH along with a colleague who was his guest. At the last minute the Defence Department (or whatever it is called in the UK) brought forward his trip by one day but not his colleague. He therefore asked me if I would guest the colleague into the CH and I was happy to do so because of the contribution he made to the site. They both left a gift for me with the concierge y)
