Hi guys, I am having this same issue with Virgin out of Dublin to LAX. They have changed the flight times by 3hrs 10 mins which means I will miss an important meeting which I cannot reschedule.
The other problem is that my mum, who is elderly and has never flown herself before is now booked on the DL flight in the afternoon on her own. Virgin and Travel Agent (E Travel Ireland) both saying they can't and won't do anything about it as we are under 5 hrs. I have reviews the COC and it states a significant change but nowhere does it state what that change is. It certainly doesn't state 5 hrs which I think is more than a significant change.
Anyway, all I wanted Virgin to do was rebook us on the same flight a couple of days earlier but they want £185 per person to do this. I am at my whits end with this. I have spent two days on the phone, been hung up on 3 times now, been told twice that they won't put me through to a manager and that they won't do anything to help.
I honestly thought that Virgin prided themselves on customer service but definitely not these days. After been quoting completely incorrect information on their COC by one of their agents, he had the audacity to tell me that Virgin only have a fleet of 40 as opposed to BA fleet of 400 aircrafts and that I should have flown BA! Very strange thing for a customer service advisor to say to a customer. WORST AIRLINE EVER!
