[Hopefully not encumbered by anyone under the age of 21. Our Nashville experience was severely constrained by not being able to go into anywhere serving alcohol when accompanied by our (then) 20 year old daughter. We did, however, get to the Opry (albeit the modern one rather than the Ryman auditorium) and attended a concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame featuring Rodney Crowell and The Secret Sisters.[/quote]

No fear of that, all our children and grandchildren are into different "genre" and cringe when we mention or listen to US country music!

My daughter is by no means a fan of country music. We only ended up in Nashville at all because she was at university in Knoxville and when we went to visit (a) I couldn't pass up the chance of visiting Nashville and (b) our daughter couldn't pass up the chance of travelling on mum and dad's travel budget. She did, however, end up going to see The Secret Sisters when they did a concert in Manchester.
