Don't like the reduction in probability of refurb tomorrow for VS93!
No problem, she is operating the VS33 to ANU today

The upgrades to our fleet are almost completed and therefore you will be able to select your Premium Economy seats via Manage my flights or your travel agent from 8 October 2012 if your flight is after 5 January 2013. If you flight is before 5 January 2013 your seats will be assigned at check in.

This statement made me laugh, do they not know that they aren't even half way through the upgrades yet n(

Are you referring to Thomas Cook?
Thomson/First Choice offer a good PE product and when booked it is present on the aircraft.

I presume that this means that we are flying on a B747 that had not yet been refitted?

Since last Monday MAN has had a refitted a/c operated one of the flights every day. That has continued at the start of this week also.
I have said MANY times before, there is no conspiracy against MAN, or it's pax, the a/c operate on a rotation basis and swap out at MCO and LAS, so it is just how the fleet is working on the swap days as to which a/c goes to MAN.

Neil, I was referring to a refurbed 747 a/c, G-VLIP is the only refurb i can see that has flown out or into MAN in the past month.

I know you were, which is what my reply was regarding. You are correct that G-VLIP has been the only refitted a/c ex MAN last month, but with only 2 flights a day ex MAN and only 1 on a 747 it really isn't that bad.
The a/c swap out in MCO and LAS and stay at MAN for about a week. LIP has now gone back to ex LGW flights and MAN has a new a/c, AST, which again is a refitted a/c. This means that every MAN flight on a 747 will have a refitted a/c, unlike LGW
