Main VS 787 Thread

G-VOOH had its first flight yesterday, so looks good for delivery in Jan.

Anyone know what the seat width is in Y? Seat plans has it at 18.9, which I find hard to believe considering BA is 17" and they both have 9 across.

Only other thing I can think of is much more narrow isles?

Just wondering if anyone has a comprehensive list of all expected Dreamliner rollouts/routes to come and when? Googling VS Dreamliner routes seems to bring up mixed results!

Pretty much anything from LHR currently operating with a 340 or 747 will become a 789 route, it would appear to me.

At the moment:- BOS
IAD (until end of march)
EWR VS 1

March - Delhi / JFK VS 3
April - LAX VS 7
June - PVG

Johannesburg and Dubai later in the year

Thanks both - i'm eager to satisfy my curiosity and fly the 787 on my next VS flight. I guess all these routes are subject to change though anyway? Just a case of book and keep my fingers crossed it stays a 787...

Was also looking forward to trying the 787 tonight, back from BOS but it's been swapped out for an A330. :-( anyone have any info on why? Did Birthday Girl go tech?

The B787`s do not seam to be showing on the status updates or aircraft database ?? anybody know why. thanks if you know the answer.

Flew back on G-VOOH Miss Chief from Boston today. What a brilliant aircraft. Will do a proper trip report, but it was great

I suspect that Pete, the site's owner either has not yet loaded them since he is currently working on a new version of the site. The Status Updates are a direct feed from VS

Is the 787 staying on BOS route through the summer does anyone know, we booked for July showing 747.

In the summer VS have changed it to a 747 and an earlier departure time, I guess demand from last year has proven VS they need the seats on this route

Probably a very long shot but could I just a little tiny bit hope for a change on VS117 or VS5 to a 789 by January next year, pretty please ???
