Everything looks fine here time wise, have you checked the settings in your user control panel? The time shown is coming from there and maybe your setting is incorrect.

I appear to be having the 'logging in ' issue. It gives the impression I am logged in (I can see my profile and I on the list as logged in) but if I do something (e.g. reply to a post) it asks me to log in. Also I cannot see the private area of the forum.

I have cleared cache and cookies. I am using Chrome.

I'll try to be more specific about the login issue:

- I've cleared cache, browsing history, cookies and all except for saved passwords
- on the V-Flyer homepage I go enter my username and password and log in
- then go to 'The Forum' link across the top bar
- on the left hand side I see 'Login' not 'Logout [slinky09]
- when I click login it tells me I am already logged in to the private part of the site
- go to forum posts and I am not logged in, I need to log in to post
- if I then go to say 'The Community' and then back to 'Forums', my status goes back to 'Login'

Hope this helps some more.

The forum part of the code, although designed to look like everything else and integrate with it, handles its own login engine and is simply 'bridged' to the rest of the site.

I suspect (and these are early days for me with the set up) what's happening here is somehow there's a disconnect between the two for you.

Try doing the cookie cleardown, then going to the forum first (ie, v-flyer.com/forum ) - login there, and then go to the homepage (ie, v-flyer.com ) and make sure you are also logged in there, so you get both sides of the site to recognise you.

It may also still be something to do with the switchover of the domain (although I'll admit I'm not sure how that would effect it other than you can 'loose' cookies you've typed into v-flyer.webeditors.co.uk if your ISP finally updates v-flyer.com to point at the right server).

So. A bit of a mystery, but take solace from the fact it should work, and indeed does work in many people's set ups - so this is probably just a temporary glitch for you. Hope it isn't too irritating.

Should automatically recognise your iphone when you hit the homepage. If not, scroll to the bottom of the homepage, and there should be a big button saying Switch To iPhone Site. If that's not there... are you sure you're viewing on an iPhone ;)

You should just type V-Flyer in to the search bar/Google and then you should just get straight to it. The iPhone version is a simpler, iPhone friendly version of the full site, but there is the option to view the full site, go in to the about v-flyer section and at the bottom there is the option to view the regular site.

Just noticed that my profile states that my membership expired in Feb 2010. Last week it said Feb 2011, and yes, I have paid this year :)

Guess it must be something to do with the change over, just wondering if anybody else has noticed the same with their profile.

Getting used to the new look slowly, and enjoying it oo)

This has appeared in red at the top of my profile:

XML Parsing Error at 1:294. Error 4: not well-formed (invalid token)

Is it a good thing?

And I cannot find the smilies (but I haven't got my glasses on!)...Boo Hoo.

Cheers Pete, that was quick.

But now it shows that my membership will expire in 2020! Not that I am complaining about that, but I don't want to do you out of my membership fees.

Hit the Post Reply button to get smilies, tailflags, etc - those aren't available in the quick reply box

And to use smilies on the wall pages, you just need to manually input the smilie symbol, the click a smilie option isn't there.

Thanks Neil,
That worked, I now have access to the site via my iPhone y)

Pete,
I tried your response, but no joy. How should it automatically recognise my iphone when I open the homepage.
I did this - nothing, also, there was no big button saying Switch to iPhone Site. (Please bear with me, I'm still trying to get used to my iPhone) i)

The black 'Switch to iPhone site' button should be at the very bottom of the forum pages as I've just switched my view here.

Click 'The Forum' link at the top then scroll down to the very bottom of the page.

Gotten to the bottom of the login / logout issue - and I'm afraid until the domain is completely switched over, it's going to be a bit flaky, because the forum insists on putting the its cookie on v-flyer.webeditors.co.uk - and I can't change that until the domain is fully switched over.

In the meantime, connecting to the site from v-flyer.webeditors.co.uk should minimise login problems.

Still getting to grips with the new layot etc but one imemdiate comemnt is that the profile pics and other info that appear ------>

are too big and take up too much - IMHO - space on the screen

Fantastic Pete et al.

I have just been having a little look at the flight status section and am blown away by it. Makes Flightaware look very poor!

Brilliant job guys. ^) oo) ^)

Hi Mitchja,
Thanks for that, all sorted now. Have added v-flyer.com as a shortcut on my iPhone. You are all so helpful here on this site ^)
