Sorry I looked for you when you posted originally - it is not listed. The data is not too great the further you go back.

I tried using my MacBook but I couldn't fathom out the downloads but then I really need to spend a loooong time in an Apple Store. Hopefully in July :D

August 1991 to LAX, and that's about as much detail as I can remember. Other than the fact that I was stunned that you actually got a choice of meal in economy.

That said, I was a wee young thing, and most of my previous flying experience was with Dan-Air (remember them?) and Monarch to the costas... so my expectations were very low back then, I was just happy to have seat that faced forwards...

First family flight was VS007 to LAX on 4th April 1998. I can find VS6 and VS8 in the aircraft movements data, but not VS7. I do remember that the IFE was on the blink and all we got to see the entire flight was the skymap, but the whole trip was sooooooo exciting that didn't really matter.

I did a UC outbound to EWR which I think preceded the first family trip. I can't be sure however as at the time I worked for an organisation that always flew us Business or First and so it was no big deal at the time. Now I work for an organisation that questions why I can't take all my luggage as carry on to save the hold baggage fee :D

G-VFLY was your outbound aircraft. 8D

For your inbound if you left HKG on the 6th and landed on the 7th then you flew on G-VAEL.

If you left HKG on the 5th and landed on the 6th then it was G-VFLY again.

MAN to MCO VS75 07/06/08, by process of elimination, I think it may have been G-VLIP.

Bit late to the thread, but my first flight with Virgin was 23rd September 1984 - easy date for me to remember, because it was the day after our wedding. :|

We flew on Maiden Voyager which, at the time, was the only Virgin plane - it was a few months after they started flying in June 1984, and the route was LGW-EWR.

The one film shown on the outbound on the drop down screens (no seatback IFE) was Popeye - starring Robin Williams and headsets were available to rent for £3.00 each - which in 1984 was quite expensive.

How times change! 8D :D
