Exactly! I have no option but to fly the 3 and the 4 for work purposes and I've done it a lot. I've yet to meet a crew member who likes it on the A333. Virgin are fully aware it's been a fail with customers, unfortunately reversing the process would prove too costly. We're stuck with them until the 787 is delivered.

But the 787 isn't going to replace the A333's, so yes, once the 787's come the new UCDS *should* be all lovely on it, it still doesn't change the fact there will be many A333's in the fleet with it on also.

if true that is great news for me, i was rather concerned lgw/mco would end up all 330's being as this is the 'new kid on the block' and the 744's the old work horse in terms of age alone.

Have not been on a VS 330 yet, only a beaten out Egypt Air bird so I cannot really compare like for like.

Although I am a firm fan of the 744, especially the upper deck, I am quite happy to fly in the A330/A340 series.

Apart from my single flight on the A330, I have had a number of flights in A340s with various airlines and I found them comfortable, certainly quieter and, of course, the IFE knowcks spots off the non-updated VS 744s.

We are off to Orlando in November again (at least, that is the plan) and hoping to upgrade this time from PE to UC and I will definitely be going for the 15/16 again.
Having said that, I will not burst into tears if we end up on the A330.

How's that for sitting on the fence! :D

Usually fly MAN/MCO in PE on the A330 mainly because its the earlier or only flight of the day. Out of choice the 747 wins on majority of issues apart from the awful upstairs EC/PR split cabin.. how can VS advertise that PE is in a "dedicated cabin" when you are separated by a curtain? The 747 is a proper transatlantic plane - 4 engines and big. Overhead bin storage in PE on A330 another big drawback.
