Problem is arriving in the clubhouse in desperate need of haircut - not able to get one - 'fully booked' then having to go on business or holiday looking a mess, If you have a haircut before you fly this defeats the whole object. I have been having haircuts for many years more often than not with the same stylist (Sandy) not being able to prebook is very dissapointing and not what customers expect.

My partner and I flew out to HK on 11th Dec 09 and we booked facial treatment 8 weeks before the flight. I was told by a lady at Cowshed that they had stopped taking bookings due to reduction of people working there.
Perhaps I misunderstood but I thought one of the arguments for cutting the IFT service was that pax had indicated they preferred being treated in the CH and they wanted to extend the service and transfer some IFT's to increase the numbers, this seems to imply the opposite?[n]

Any improvments on cowshed availability recently especially for evening flights?
Flew VS200 back in Feb arrived four hours early and unable to get a booking.
Am flying VS200 again in June on J class ticket being an AU holder and will be mightly dissapointed if again I am unable to get a treatment.

My brother mother and stepfather flew out on the VS200 last night. All three were able to get treatments- a haircut, facial and a pedicure

Sadly the Cowshed doesn't appear to recognise the VS200! In Feb when I last flew there was an obvious lack of available therapists/hairdressers between 1800 and 2000 despite the demand and yet they seemed to come on duty again just as the flight was being called?!!! Good luck in June and let me know how you got on.

Thats disappointing - I guess I will be likely to miss out on the VS17 as well then.

We flew the VS200 in Match and had no trouble booking a treatment/haircut. in fact we were offered a choice of times.
Gill
Last 2 trips despite getting there 3+ hrs before no treatments available - why??
When are p[eople arriving to get them

The staff have a table with all the scheduled flight times on them. This includes gate closing times plus I guess an allowance for walking time from the CH to the gate. They referred to the table on previuos visits before even looking to see what slots are free.
They then need to allow for ythe treatment time then some time for people to gather their stuff etc.
I reckon that allowing for all of that the last slot they will book a pax in for a treatment is around 2 hrs before scheduled departure.
Like Gilly I was offered a choice of times on my last visit and I guess I chose a slot for about an hour after arrived so I could have a drink, lunch and go and look areound duty free rather than be 'done' there and then.
I arrived about 3 1/2 hours before a 16.00 scheduled departure time and got a treatment no problem but it was a quiet day that day.

That's right, we were all offered different time slots; chose 2hrs before departure to make the most of our time in the CH.

Last three flights to Boston in the afternoon have been no problem to get a massage or a haircut, even one hour before departure with a long walk to the aircraft, and last time they were calling my flight when I was still in the chair.
