I think in the case of Hilton HHonors the status you get through Platinum is supposed to last a year >> "Hilton HHonors® Gold VIP membership retention for 1 year without having to earn status". From what you say Neil have you maintained status longer than a year with no stays? Good if you have :-)

It seems to be only SPG that we're supposed to get beyond a year >> "Starwood Preferred Guest Gold membership retained as long as you remain an American Express Platinum Cardmember"

Incidentally, as far as Radisson Goldpointsplus goes, the AMEX blurb says we're supposed to only get "Silver Elite" status but I seem to be Gold? :-)

Sounds like you're doing well out of this.. y)

Always remember you can walk into any Radisson Lounge and get free tea/coffee for two, any day of the week, and free wifi.. :w

We get good use out of this, fresh brewed and decent sized pot, in a comfy lounge

Yes, you should only get Silver Elite, which I have, and is pretty pointless tbh. If you want Mike, they would status match your SPG or HH Au anyway if you just ask them!

Yes, I have been HH Au since I got my Plat card in 2008 and never had enough stays to re qualify, so not sure if I have just been lucky or what, but I'm not complaining.
