Can I use the limo service on a G class

Hi,
sorry but I did try to search this, but can I use the limo service on a G class UC ticket, upgraded using FC miles. If not, can you tell me how many FC miles it costs to get the service round trip. Thanks in advance.

You don't get the use of a Limo with your G fare unfortunately. You can however organise them with FC at 10,000 miles one way I believe....

Yes you can, just call FC Premier & they'll book it for you and debit your FC account 10,000 miles for each transfer - I did this today and we're on G's. So, from home to LHR before you fly and LHR to home after you fly = 20,000 miles. You also qualify for drive-through check-in at LHR (there used to be a rule that miles paid CDC's don't qualify but that's gone now)

Thanks guys, well, I don't have 20,000 miles spare, but lets say I buy 20,000 for £315.00, take off the £120 I will spend for an over night stay,as we are comming down from Nottingham, say £40 for drinks and meal in hotel . Less again £20 for petrol, and £16 for bus transfer to and from LHR airport. That leaves the limo service costing me £119.00 for a round trip, begining to sound like not a bad deal, what do you think.

Marvelous idea Andrew:)- and you can truly enjoy the flight home without the worry of driving home when arriving tired/intoxicated (add/delete as appropriate)on arrival back in Blighty. Think of it as money saved and not money spent;)

We travel to LHR from a similar part of the world and there is no way I would spend £300 for the limo transfers.I am not certain, but when I did enquire about 10k transfers on a reward ticket a couple of years ago they were only avalible for the London and home counties area,no problems with a D or J ticket Notts was covered.For that money I would book a honeymoon package at the Radisson Edwardian,it includes 15 days parking at the hotel,exec room(we have been upgraded to some nice suites on this package),bottle of Mercier Champagne and chocs,breakfast and return hotel/airport limo tranfers £180 inc vat.We stayed last wednesday night and it was superb value and a fantastic way to start a Holiday.

Thats the draw back to driving, but we booked a night at the Hilton(I will have that diamond card) on our return;):D

Just contacted UC helpdesk, and you can use miles for our part of the country. They used to limit it to the home counties, but that has been lifted

Well that was the mileage using MapPoint, and I was quoted that it was 150 miles radius....

Just remember that the 'reward' CDC is only available in the UK, and USA.

One of the advantages of the CDC is the freedom to drink on a flight. I have a CDC on my arrival in MCO on Saturday to take me to Palm Harbor. If I had to drive myself it would mean no alcohol on the flight over [n] On my recent return trip from Dubai a huge bonus was that Aer John now drives. WooHoo!!

Well, the drivers I've had recently have all claimed it's pretty much anywhere in England/Wales. Some of them have done the deepest depths of cornwall, others have picked up from North Wales.

Unless it's a limitation I didn't know about, only applicable to reward limos, the "radius" hasn't been in operation since they simplified the service for J & D.

According to the VS website.. For LHR and LGW the range is all counties south of, and including, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Powys, and Ceridigion.

For some reason Manchester isn't mentioned as having the service available. [?]

I am surprised as it is fine for me from Coventry. Even from Nottingham is only about 50 miles and I less than 100 as the crow flies. But hey ho, if thats what they say. You could always pay for the limo service from them directly. Think it worked out about £500 last time I looked

we come from notts too and a mini bus transfer to lgw , needed to accomadate my daughter in her wheel chair , costs £200 each way
so that makes the limo look cheap

We have almost decided to go with paying the extra for the miles and having the Limo service. Was chatting with the girl who arranges it, and the main sticking point is all the luggage we have. 3 of the biggest casses you have ever seen, and 2 sets of golf clubs in a large carrier. They do all fit into a Vectra with the back seats down though. she said that they would probably fit in one of the Estates, what make are they, anyone know? I asked if they had a people carrier, she said there is 2 of them, but you can't book them.
