I'm pretty new to this forum so appologies if this has already been discussed and is common knowledge to you folks.

I recently flew into LGW on UC and remembered reading somewhere that I'd be able to use the Continental arrivals lounge. Anyway, I did manage to get into an arrivals lounge but it was US Airways' instead. Apparantly they've had a contract with Virgin for about a year now but because it's fairly small, it's not well advertised. It's not a patch on the LHR Virgin arrivals lounge but still got nice, big shower rooms and a small continental breakfast - plenty to refresh before leaving the airport [y]

Yup, US Airways Arrivals Lounge. VS are certainly not shouting about this facility, i cant see mention of it on their website still, though one of our regular Crew gave us the heads up a while back (thread here), This does present a good option for regular LGW travellers.

The arrival lounge and its facilities are briefly mentioned in the FAQ

Thanks,
Sarah

I used the lounge on 8th Nov when I flew back from Orlando. I had read about it. It was busy when I used it but, got a good shower & a cofee & muffin. The TV had broken but, I read the papers until was ready to leave. The good thing about this lounge being landside was that I could wait in comfort until my husband personally collected me because I had several more bags than when I left the country!
