Hi all

Have just had an e-mail from BA Executive Club (only flown with them once - am really only loyal to Virgin [:w]) announcing that they have reduced most of their reward flights by half for flights up to the end of May. Example New York 25,000 from 50,000.

Are VS likely to follow suit or stick with their current 20% off some routes/dates?

Dan.

Whilst I am sure you know I am really down on VS reward seats currently there is no way that ALL of their reward seats were booked until March 2009, so I assume GJ, given your smiley that that comment was tongue in cheek.

I of course would support VS halving their redemption costs but can only see them doing this on Y seats on routes with a glut of space.

Considering the influx of points going out they need to do something to get some back in.

Shame they havent discounted the PE seats as well, I think PE works out much better value for your miles compared to Y ( thats probably why actually DOH!)

I too got the BA email, I thought BA followed on from Virgin dropping the mileage requirement to 36,000 for most Economy trips to the East Coast etc.
