Hi

I hope someone will be able to help me with this question. I have booked seats on the above flight out of Manchester on 24 Sept 2004 at 13.00hrs. I think this is the first time this flight has been out this year and was wondering if the aircraft will be a 744 or 742.

Any tips on where to sit on the aircraft in economy for best comfort would also be appreciated.

Thanks

I know that from June next year a 744 will operate the fleet and the 742s will go. I imagine your flight will be a 742 and only a 744 if the 742 goes tech.

Thanks for that info. How many 742's do they have in service as it looks like the 10.30am flight uses a 742 as well. Alos are they as old and worn as people say.

Thanks

742s are in decent condition...obviously not as good as the 744s, but VS 742s are probably much better than the other 742s still in service with other airlines.

I think they still have two 742's at MAN - Honey Pie and Island Lady.

Hi

Just had an email back to say as this is a new flight added to the regular 10.30am one we are travelling on a 744. I hope this will be one of the new all singing and dancing one's. Anybody out there "in the know".

Thanks

The VS73 will be operated using a LGW based 744 with a config of 16J 50W and 373Y and will have NOVA entertainment system.
