I know this has probably been asked to death, but ...

Can someone recommend the best seats in UCS on both the 744 (LHR) and the A346 for couples travelling together.

Ive had a look at the seat plans, the A346 has so few ratings from pax that its hard to choose, although i thought that the closer to the mose the better?

For the 744, i gathered the same, rows 6/7/8 unless you are on upper deck for the sleeper service at night.

I hope to be making my inaugral UCS flight next year and am in the process of booking the flights, so i want to get in there nice and early with my choice of seat numbers!

Any couples with experience, please advise [:)]

On my last trip to SFO in June on the outbound we did 15k and 16k, and on the return did 8A and 8K.

I dont really have a personal preferance. Sitting next to each other in different rows is ok, but one has to lean forward and the other crank their neck around to talk. Sitting opposite in the nose was ok as you could see eachother, but talking would involve a bit of shouting for everyone to hear.

Its in my oppinion 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other. Likewise, the nose is quieter as there can be less through traffic, but the back part is closer to the bar and the seat angle against the wall isnt so great which means less neck bending to look out of the windows there.

And lets not forget, you can eat together in the ottoman seat. [;)]

Whatever you choose, UCS is a great ride!

Highflyer, there have been many views expressed on this subject, if you do a seach on 'couples' you will find a wealth of opinion. So as not to have yet another thread running on this topic I will lock this one down. Please post to one of the other threads.
